Beijing West Railway Station or Beijing West is located in the No.118 Lotus Pond East Road, Fengtai District, Beijing, near the West Third Ring Road. It was completed in early 1996. The daily maximum passenger capacity of Beijing West Railway Station is up to 90 pairs of trains and 600,000 passengers, so it is known as one of the largest railway stations in Asia, even one of the largest passenger railways in the world. Beijing West Railway Station is divided into north and south squares. The South square is near Lotus Pond Park, and in front of North Square lies Chinese Century.

Structure of Beijing West Railway Station
The whole structure is like a triangle. The main building of Beijing West Railway Station has a frame of shear wall structure. The structure consists of four specimens of the main trusses. It is divided into north and south squares. The South Square is near Lotus Pond Park, and in front of North Square lies Chinese Century, near CCTV Tower, Military Museum and other buildings. The entrance and the main ticket office are located in the North Square. Since 16 January 2010, travelers are also able to enter directly from the South Square.
There are two ways out of Beijing West Railway Station on the second floor underground. The exit in the east is called North No.1 Exit and North No.2. Taking parcel is located at the west side of North Square and consign for shipment of the package is located at the east side of North Square.
Public Transportation
Bus: there are 5 bus stations in the North Square. You can take 65, 374, 741, 695, 673, 21, 320, 373, 319, 437, 52, 99, 83, 387 etc. buses to visit Beijing in all directions.
Subway: No. 2 Subway Line
Taxi: There are two taxi services on the first and second floor underground. To get a taxi is actually not convenient in the city's railway stops, particularly in Beijing Railway Station and West Railway Station. Occasionally you might have to wait for 1 or 2 hours. So it is better for you to take buses or subways to the places where you want to go.
