The Bama Changshou Museum is located beside the East Sports Plaza in Bama Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The Bama Changshou Museum Building is divided into two floors. The total area of the exhibition hall is 1,500 square meters. The museum mainly displays two major parts: the revolutionary history of Bama and the longevity and national culture. The national exhibition hall displays the various aspects historical materials of the Bama Yao, Zhuang and Han ethnic groups.
According to changshou Museum Director Huang, the Changshou Museum was completed in October 2006. It is one of the key projects for the 50th anniversary of the county's celebration and support by the construction of the autonomous region and is the first thematic museum with the longevity culture as its main display content. It is a comprehensive cultural tourist attraction integrating tourism, shopping, entertainment and scientific research in Bama County. it was open to the public on November 8, 2007.
The Bama Changshou Museum mainly introduces the historical origins of the Longevity phenomenon and the longevity folk customs through pictures, audiovisual materials and expert lectures, which shows the elegant demeanour of the Bama Longevity centenarians and the longevity foods of the Bama.
