Jigong Mountain

Jigong Mountain is located in Xinyang city of Henan province in the south, because of its entire mountain like a rooster open the wing, present the crow. It is one of the four major summer resort in China, the national AAAA level scenic spot. “Brocken bow, sea of clouds, rime, sleet, sunglow, exotic flowers and plants, strange mountain peak, waterfall” is known as the eight natural landscapes. In the mountain there is a buildings group with different country style in the late Qing dynasty and has the reputation of “the world architecture museum”, and it is the first public concessions in the history of China. Jigong Mountain also has a reputation of “natural botanical garden and natural herbs garden”, the vegetation coverage rate is as high as 90%, with more than 2000 kinds of precious plant, where is a natural green gene pool.

It is not high, but its location is unique, there is alpine climate but without mountains reaction, where is suitable for heat recuperation. It is consisting of the mountain peak, the spring falls, precious flowers and grass, rural village and charm of the illustration of the gazebo and many factors to make up such as natural scenic spot. It is known as the “summer resort in China, park in the southern Henan”. Due to tectonic movement, forming the Jigong mountain peak, the big one is rugged, and the small one is like elves with strange, artful, beautiful features. Jigong Mountain is more than the natural landscape, and has vintage foreign villas which were built during the period of the republic of China. In short, going to Jigong Mountain to avoid summer heat is a perfect experience in combination of natural landscape and human landscape.

Travel to Jigong Mountain, the eastern part is the center, standing on the peak; you will see the sea of clouds rolling in the sky, as if the clouds are walking on. And the eastern part, viewed from different angles, different attitude, some like crows, some like lying. The eastern part is not far from the multinational construction, is a place where visitors must visit to. 2 miles go along the eastern part of south slope downward; there are some spots with religious color. Get off the bus from Jigongshan station and go east along the winding mountain road; you will get to the summer resort.

 

 

1. The plane
Jigong Mountain is only 160 km away from Wuhan Tianhe airport, drive about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Jigong Mountain is 350 km away from Zhengzhou Xinzheng airport, drive about 3 to 4 hours.
2. The railway
Wuhan high-speed station: to Xinyang takes about 2 hours’ driving.
3. The Xinyang city to Jigong mountain scenic area
There are a lot of tour bus from Xinyang city to Jigong Mountain, or taking No.5 Special Tourist Bus. It will take about 1 hour drive from Xinyang railway station to Jigong Mountain.
