Mingshi Village

Mingshi countryside, 37 kilometers to Detian Waterfall, 53 kilometers away from Daxin County, 210 km from Nanning- capital city of Guangxi, is a national AAAA level scenic spots. The 20-km radius of the scenic spot is beautiful and the mountains are surrounded by water. It rises to fame as the “Small Guilin‬” and a photographer’s heaven. ‬With typical karst features, Mingshi Countryside is hailed as the “seclusion for anchorites” due to its peaceful scenery with green hills, clear waters and dotted cottages. ‬‬

Ming Shi’s mountains and waters are indeed charming. green mountains and rivers reflect each other, forming many scenic spots. The most spectacular one is the Mingshi River. The Mingshi River originates in Vietnam and flows from Niandoutun into China, which flows southeast Jingtang, Mingshi, Kanwei, Lushan, Houyi, etc. of the county. Finally, the mingshi river joins the Heishui River , with full-length 44.13 kilometers. Mingshi countryside concentrated in the Ming Shi to bolang. The scenic section of the river is about 8 kilometers long. Visitors can take a bamboo raft and go down the river to enjoy the fascinating scenery on both banks.
 

In Mingshi countryside, you will see the typical karst peaks and landscapes, crystal clean water, wobbly bamboo raft, the ancient Zhuang villages, the splendid General Mountain, the beautiful Tongtian Cave, the peculiar wanru Cliff and the natural cliff mural. A wonderful and fascinating space isolated from the noisy world, time is suspended here that every guest can not help but slow down for fear of disturbing the quiet of this wonderworld on earth.
 

Mingshi countryside, the area south of the Tropic of Cancer, has a subtropical hilly climate characterized by year-round high temperatures and rainy, the limestone-based mountains are easily eroded by water, and nature uses its own force to sculpture the karst landscape of Mingshi countryside. Time passes, The mountains are always dotted with water, and the water always reflects the mountains, forming a landscape of Mingshi countryside where mountains and waters reflect each other.
 

Mingshi countryside is always collected to be the shooting location for many films and tv plays for its unique landscape. The scenic spot is sought after by visitors because of the tv plays “The journey of Flower” or "Hua Qian Gu". It is also the filming location of the film and TV works “The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl”, “Liquor is home Alcohol”, “The Last Breakthrough” and “Herbal Medicine King”. The State Post Bureau has issued a set of 12 special stamps for the “Homeland frontier scenery” and Mingshi countryside was selected into stamp theme and named “Karst Topography in South Guangxi” (the seventh stamp).

Accommodation

Daxin Mingshi Hotel : Built in 2008, it is a 4-star hotel within Minshi Scenic Area and mixes the traditional Zhuang architectural style and modern decoration and amenity.  
 

Mingshi Art Hotel : Built in 2013, located next to the Museum of Zhuang Dwelling, it is artistic 3-star hotel. Its unique design style integrates Zhuang totem into the graceful modern landscape. 

Transportation

You can choose among plane, train, or car to reach Nanning. There are shuttle buses departing from Nanning Passenger Center at Beida Road to Daxin County every 20 minutes, and express bus fair is 30 yuan. After arriving at Daxin you’ll need to get another bus to take you to Ming-shi Countryside, or you can charter a minibus from Detian Waterfall to Ming-shi Countryside.
