Located in the southeast of Shangsi County, fangchenggang city, gaungxi province, Shiwan dashan Mountain National Natural Reserve is an ideal place for summer escape and sightseeing. Shiwan dashan Mountain National Natural Reserve is a forest ecosystem type nature reserve. The main protection targets include rare and precious animal and plant resources and their habitats, water conservation forests, mountain evergreen broad-leaved forests and typical natural landscapes in different natural zones, as well as the forest coverage rate of protected areas is 64.8%.
The axis of the Shiwan dashan Mountains is dominated by Triassic continental sandstone, mudstone and conglomerate, the north wing is Jurassic sandstone and conglomerate, and the south wing is mainly Indosinian granite porphyry and granite. The Himalayan movement was affected by granite intrusion and flexed to form overlapping monoclinic mountains. The northwest slope is gentle and the southeast slope is steep. The majestic mountains have obvious ridgelines.
Shiwan dashan mountains have huge mountains, ancient strata, and complicated landforms. it mainly dominated by Zhongshan mountain. There are 82 mountain peaks with elevations of more than 1,000 meters above sea level. The terrain is steep, cutting is intense, and valleys are developed. The landforms are mainly mountainous area.

There are two kinds national first level key protected wild plants, namely, Hopea chinensis and Cycas shiwandashanica. There are 13 species national second- level key wild plants such as Cibotium barometz and Cyathea hancockii. There are five types of wild animals that are national first-level protected wild animals, that is clouded leopards, leopards, Dwarf Musk Deer, monitor lizards, and python. 44 species of wild animals belonging to the national secondary protection. The Shiwan dashan Nature Reserve has a wide range of insects and abundant resources.
Shiwandashan Mountain National Natural Reserve is rich in landscape resources, with stretched mountains, steep cliffs, vertical and horizontal valleys, Cliffside spring, mist-shrouded forests, wind and clouds, etc…The movie " Courageous Fighter " was shot in Shiwandashan.
The scenic spot is located in the core area of Shiwan dashan Mountain Water Source Forest with 98% forest coverage rate, and there are abundant animal and plant resources. The air in the scenic area is fresh, with an air negative oxygen ion content of up to 89,000 per cubic centimeter. It is known as the “First Natural Oxygen Bar in South China” and is a tourist resort integrating sightseeing, leisure and convalescence, summer adventures and business meetings.
