Window of the World is a theme park located in the western part of Shenzhen city, featuring miniature-scale famous landmarks of the world. Here you can see vivid replicas of the world’s wonders, historical heritages and famous scenic sites. The entire masterpiece is built at ratios of 1:1, 1:5 or 1:15. There about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world squeezed into 48 hectares. Including the 108-metertal Eiffel Tower dominating the skyline, the sight of the Pyramids, the Taj Mahal, the Ancient Athens, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Tower of London, etc.



There are also a wide selection of international restaurants and mini exhibitions on famous figures from world history. Window of the World allows you to taste Mexican food, see the Niagara Falls then wander around Angkor Wat. The site takes at least half a day to explore and every day ends with a firework and laser show. Skiing and snow tubing are available at the 'Alps Indoor Skiing'.

In the evening, visitor can enjoy 'Fervorous Paris Nights' Show at 'Caesar's Palace'.

 

Facts of Window of the World

Location: Window of the World is located in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen, near Shenzhen Bay and the Shenzhen Happy Valley amusement park. It is easily accessible from the city center, with public transport options available.

Opened: The park opened in 1994, and since then it has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Shenzhen, drawing millions of visitors each year.

Theme: The park’s concept revolves around providing visitors with a “tour of the world” by showcasing miniature replicas of over 130 famous landmarks from around the globe, including architecture, historical sites, natural wonders, and cultural symbols. 

 

What to See in the Park

Located at Overseas Chinese Town along the beautiful Shenzhen Bay, Window of the World covers an area of 480,000 square meters. According to the regional structure of the world and sightseeing activities, it is divided into 8 areas: the World Square, the Area of Asia, the Area of Oceanic, the Area of Europe, the Area of Africa, the Area of America, the World Sculpture Park, International Street the 8 fabulous parts of the whole park.

The World Square
There are 108 pillars in the square, as well as relief wall of 1680 square meters as a symbol of the world civilization. It has also six gates representing different culture and a panoramic round stage, looking majestic and solemn. Attractions on World Square:France Louvre Hotel, World culture relief wall, The world Map Fountain and The global stage.


International Street
International Street features with beautiful houses in style of Europe, Asia, Islamic, etc. as the main views, together with churches, the bazaars and the streets. It is a good place for visitors to have a rest or shopping. Strolling at the street will make you fell like travel in Europe townships with the exotic romance.

The Area of Asia

In the Archery Field, tourists may follow the ways of North American Indians and learn to hunt prey in the lush woods. Even more exciting is to traverse the primitive tropical forest in a cable car. Skiing in a subtropical city might sound strange, but the Indoor Alpine Ski Run in Shenzhen Window of the World offers you four thousand square meters (about 6,200,012 square feet) of indoor piste to ski.

 

How to Get to Window of the World

By Metro: The easiest way to reach Window of the World is by taking Shenzhen Metro Line 1 (the Luobao Line) and getting off at the Window of the World Station (世界之窗站). The park is directly accessible from the station.

By Taxi: A taxi from Shenzhen's central districts, such as Luohu or Futian, will take around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

By Bus: There are several bus routes that stop near the theme park, including buses from major areas of the city.


Recommended time of visit: 5-8 hours


Note: Try to avoid visiting the park in weekends or public holidays of China, when the park will be full of visitors and crowded.
