Yongqingfang

Yongqingfang is a charming historical area in Guangzhou, known for its traditional architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Yongqingfang has the most complete preserved architectural complex of arcade buildings in Guangzhou and the buildings in Republic of China with a combination of Chinese and Western styles. Yongqingfang preserves many traditional Xiguan buildings, Xiguan is the former name of Liwan District. Characteristic Xiguan buildings are the symbol of Lingnan culture, like arcade(overhangs) and bamboo houses.

Cantonese Opera, also known as Guangdong Opera and Yue Opera, is the Intangible Cultural Heritage in China. Originated in Foshan, Cantonese Opera is mainly performed in Cantonese dialect. Cantonese Opera is preferred by Chinese who speaking Cantonese in the world.

How to Get to Yongqingfang

Take the Metro Line 1, get off at the Huangsha Station, get out off the station, then walk for several minutes to Yongqingfang.
