Yuejiang Tower is located on the top of the Lion Mountain, Gulou District, Nanjing, Jiangsu province. It is one of the Four Famous Pavilions in Jiangnan(south of the Yangtze River), which include Yellow Crane Pavilion in Wuhan, Yueyang Pavilion in Yueyang and Tengwang Pavilion in Nanchang. With a height of 52 meters, there are 7 floors in the Yuejiang Tower. It is near the Yangtze River. Emperor Zhu Wenzhang planned to build the Yuejiang Tower in 1374, but it failed to be built for various reasons. The Yuejiang Tower was built in 1999 and finished in 2001.
