I am a tour leader from Italy and this was my first cooperation with Janet and how lucky we met her!! We followed the trip with her to remote areas in China including some ethnic group area in Guizhou province and Sanjiang, Longsheng and Guilin, we enjoyed completely throughout the whole trip and some arrangement even out of our surprise, like we went to Janet’s home to learn how to pack Chinese Ravioli, she invited a Taichi teacher and we had a 1 hour Taichi class inside her home community. Everything was fine and our group members are all like her very much. We strongly recommend Janet Chan (janet@topchinatravel.com) as your China trip consultant! She is so considerate and carefully planned each detail of our trip. Guizhou is a very interesting and primitive place for visiting, you should include in your China trip as well! Thank you Janet! You are very professional!!

The views are stunning and the boat that we were on had VIP seating for just our group with a private balcony to view the river.

TCT was very helpful in our Guilin trip. We are vegetarians and they made sure we were well fed. We had a private tour with TCT and my only regret was that I wish it had included a Li river cruise to Ghanshou. Make sure you ask for one instead of going by road.

My daughter and I recently did a private 13 day tour with TCT starting in Beijing and ending in Shanghai. We went to Xian, Guilin and on a 3 night Yangtze river cruise. I did a lot of research before using TCT as last year we had a very bad experience with a tour company in Morocco which really spoiled our whole holiday. Obviously doing a private tour is much more expensive but well worth the money. From the beginning my dealings with Bonnie were so personal. It was so nice to be met at airports/stations by a private guide and drivers. I loved the fact that the guides did all the check-ins at airports and at the station for the Bullet train from Beijing to Xian. I was so glad that Linda could accompany us right to the waiting room at station as there were thousands of people at the station and it could have been quite overwhelming. All the hotels that we stayed in were above my expectations for China. All our guides and drivers were very attentive and enthusiastic . We are vegetarians and all the guides made sure that they helped us find food at lunch time. Linda our guide in Beijing wrote a note saying we were vegetarians which we used in the evenings at restaurants for the whole trip. At the great wall of China we went up the chair lift and tobogganed down. My only criticism would be that we would have preferred to go up with the cable car and then walk all the way along the wall to the toboggan ride. Unfortunately when we said we want to toboggan down the guide decided that we should go up the chair lift as it is closer to the toboggan. I felt that we did not have enough time on the wall. My advice is for the guide to give all the options as the walk from the cable car is quite long and not everybody might want to walk so far. The Terracotta warriors were another highlight of the trip. Lucy we loved your selfie app....we want it too :) We loved the Li river cruise in Guilin and our guide Michelle even brought us a special vegetarian packed lunch as often the cruise does not have vegetarian options for lunch. She was so attentive on the cruise and pointed out all the special highlights of the cruise, something I did not see all the other guides doing. On our flight from Xian to Guilin there was not vegetarian option for us. I mentioned this to Bonnie and she then arranged that when we flew from Guilin to Chongqing that Cherry, who met us at the airport to take us to the Boat Cruise, had a vegetarian meal for us. Also when we disembarked in Yichang, Victor also brought along a vegetarian packed lunch for us. Jakob our guide in Shanghai practically became our family in the few days that we spent with him. He had the most amazing sense of humor and made us laugh every day. Thank you for the very special Chilli sauce. Bianca eats it on practically everything. To Bonnie and all the guides... Linda, Lucy, Michelle, Cherry, Victor and Jakob... thank you for making this one of the most memorable trips that we have ever done. Also big thank you to all the very proficient drivers for keeping us safe on the 'wild' Chinese roads. China is an amazingly beautiful and vibrant country to visit. Just one suggestion: On the itinerary mention all the optional shows that one can attend in different cities and suggest booking before you go. We were unable to go to the show in Shanghai as it was a weekend and fully booked by the time we asked our guide.

We selected TCT to help us with our China trip. They delivered what they promised. They were there at every step. We took their help in Beijing and then again in Guilin. In Guilin, they had a personal trip for us. They really provided value. We are vegetarians and the options they provided were great. Lauren, our guide in Guilin knew every aspect of information and was very honest and the kids enjoyed her candid remarks. We were a family of four with our sons 26 and 24. At times, the four days of trip with someone constantly with you got a little too much as we wanted to have private family time but they were always understanding and accommodated us.

We were travelling in China for 2 weeks (we're a couple on our 60's), through TCT company organized by Janett Chan. The trip that was booked in advance, and designed to our requests and her brilliant reccomendationes. Every planned activity was sucessfull- the private driver, private guide, flights, hotels and few group tours as per our request. We higly recommend Janett's services.

My wife (34) and I (35) took a 13-day trip to China during the last two weeks of May organized by Top China Travel. Our tour organizer was Janet Chan with whom we had a very excellent experience. The arrangements were flawless. We did not join a group, all the arrangements were made only for the two of us. We had a guide, a driver and a sedan car in each city. All the internal flights, cruise and train tickets, and any other ground transportation was arranged by TCT. We visited Beijing, Xian, Guilin-Yangshuo, Chongxing-Yangtze River Cruise, and Shanghai. I won't talk too much about the cities since there is plenty of information in the internet. I just can tell that China is amazing. My top favorite sites/monuments/attractions were: The Great Wall (Mutianyu section), Terracotta Warriors, bicycle ride in Yangshuo, bicycle ride in Xian City Wall, cooking lesson in Yangshuo, shopping at Tianzifang and Old Town market in Shanghai and the food EVERYWHERE. The hotel selection by TCT was good, however, depending on needs and tastes, I would recommend to discuss and agree with TCT on specific hotels after doing a little research. Reasons: breakfast selection might not be suitable for everybody (chinese breakfast is very different from occidental breakfast), some hotels might not enforce non-smoking policies hard enough (Novotel Peace in Beijing for example). The Yangtze River cruise was a really nice experience, the landscapes are unique. It's something worth seeing. We took the President #8 Ship, the rooms are clean and comfortable, however, the entertainment activities on board are limited. Overall experience in China was excellent and I definitely recommend Top China Travel as the agency of choice.

This area is very nice, they still rice farm these teraces in season.
This is about the 2.5 hour drive up into the mountains 1 way.
There a small Village there that you can have lunch and hike up into the village.
We had a nice soup and hot tea for lunch here in the Village area. Everyone working here lives here, your dollars will help them enjoy their life here in this special area. Locals had a village home open for viewing. If you are interested in the history, local culture and people this wooden architecture is nice. There's a path, small road to wander into the actual village on that's not a hard walk. There are also about 500 stairs on the other side, I did both the stairs are not good for anyone with challenges. No handrails. The homes in the village span up the hillside about 500 meters.If you have time I think this is a nice day in the area. Go during daylight, that man road us very winding. Suggest a local driver and or guide. I love Top China Travel, Rebecca is fantastic she will arrange everything you need in Hong Kong, China for you with no hassles and at great value. Here's an idea, best photos are on my other camera. Getting close to the history and residents is a huge part of real traveling.Show less

Our private tour guide, Jason, picked us up at our hotel and took us to the pier outside of Guilin where we boarded our boat for a cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. The experience was amazing!! The views were stunning, breathtaking... whichever word you want to use, but I can see why many claim this is the most beautiful region of China. And Jason was so warm, welcoming and accommodating. We learned so much about him, where he's from and the culture in southwest China. It was a great day and an experience I would highly recommend if you're visiting this part of China. We're so thankful Lily at Top China Travel helped us plan this awesome day trip!!

We have spent two days in Guilin and surroundings with a special interest group of geographers, visited the rice fields/terraces and local vilages, had a nice river cruise. The Tour Operator TCT organized several trips for us in the past all over China and all the service received from them were impeccable thanks to the meticulous work of Janet, our partner. A highly recommended and reliable partner in China for you!

We chose TCT for an 13day/12 night private guided tour trip through Beijing, Hefei, and Shanghai. Lily helped us plan and finalize the itinerary for our trip via email andwas very accommodating and helpful during the entire process. She also kept in contact with us throughout the trip to make sure that everything went smoothly and to our satisfaction. For the city guides, we had Ms Grace in Beijing, Alvin in Hefei, and Rooney in Shanghai. Each of our guides were helpful and informative and made sure that our needs were met along the way, and all of them were flexible with any last-minute requests or issues that came up. Special mention also for our drivers in Beijing and Shanghai who always made sure that we had water and that we got to our destinations on time regardless of the traffic situation. Our trip overall was very action-packed and we were able to see almost everything planned on our schedule including some last-minute inserted locations which was a plus. We had a great time visiting on our first trip to China, and would recommend TCT for anyone looking to looking to plan their own trip there.

We enjoyed our trip very much. Wendy was great, both as a guide and as a person. We had an unfortunate fall accidant during the trip. Wendy and her managers from the office took excellent care of us, stayed with us in the hospital (where almost no one spoke english) and changed the tour plan accordingly. They were also very attentive to our dietary requests during lunch. I highly recommend TCT Guilin.

We were driven to the mountain where the terraced fields were found by Ocean and his driver. When we arrived, the weather was threatening and then the rain came. Fortunately, there is a fix; the sedan carriers volunteered to carry us up the steps to our hotel for a reasonable price each (420 Yuan total, about $70). It was fun, we stayed dry and off the uneven steps in pouring rain. The Ping An Hotel was fine, although beds were a bit hard. View of terraced fields was awe-inspiring in every way!!! We got pictures on our balcony and at a spot Ocean recommended. We returned to Guilin the next morning. We thank Top China Travel for a wonderful tour.
