Shenzhen is a coastal city in south of China, so there are indeed a few beautiful beaches near the city to enjoy seashore entertainment. There are about 23 beaches near Shenzhen, such as Dameisha Beach, Xiaomeisha Beach, Xiasha Beach, Xiyong Beach, Xichong, Dongchong, Dashenwan, Yangmeikeng, Shuitousha, Guanhu, etc. Among them, Dameisha, Xiaomeisha and Xiasha Beaches are the most popular one to the locals, for they are under tourism development early. In public holiday and at weekends, there are a lot of water recreational activities on the beach for visitors to have fun. As for other undeveloped beach, tourism recreational activities are not very mature, but there are still many travelers to go there for expedition.
Xiaomeisha Beach

Xiaomeisha Beach is the largest seaside resort in Shenzhen and is called as the “Hawwaii of the East” by the local. It is site about 30 kilometers from the center area of the city, in the eastern part of Dapeng Bay. This beach has a vast white beach and soft sand, water sports, as well as many water sports, accommodation, and eating and shopping facilities. Swimming camping, hiking, motorboat, barbecue, beach volleyball, etc. are all available for you to kill your time.
How to get there: there are no direct buses leaving for Xiaomeisha. Visitors can take bus to Dameisha first, then transfer to No.103, No.103B, No.380B, No.387, No.380A, No.M207, No.M36 to reach Xiaomeisha. But returning back to downtown in the evening would be a nightmare, for everyone will catch the same bus at the same time and it could be very very crowded. So if you have a loose budget for this trip, it is recommended to rent a car to travel there.
Dameisha Beach
Dameisha are near to Xiaomeisha, as they are both located in Dapeng Bay. It is sited in Yantian district, in the east of the Mirs Bay, between the Yantian Port and Xiaomeisha. It is surrounded by water and mountains. The sports activities like camping, climbing and rosary under the mountain are developed here. But as there are too many visitors here, the sea water and beach is not much clear as you expect and you should make preparation for this.
There are many buses that you can take directly to Dameisha, such as 208, 360, 387, 103, J1 , 53, 242, 364, 380, etc.
Xichong Beach
Xichong is a beautiful beach with 5 km, like winding silver ribbon connecting two hills at two end of it. Visitors can stay camp overnight on the beach and then enjoy sunrise or sunset on the mountains nearby. There is origin forest in a distance and this place here is still under development. So the facilities are still quite rare now. If you are interested, you can still visit some rural village nearby, that would be quite interesting.
Dongchong Beach
Dongchong and Xichong Beaches are two beautiful natural places sited in southeast of Nan’ao Town. They are respectively in Dongchong Village and Xichong seashore. There are indeed some hotels nearby.
Da Lu Wan Beach
Tourists need to take boats to reach this place. Instead of soft sand, there are a lot of oddly-shaped stones. The sea is clean here and there are winding hills behind it with verdant forests. Many travelers who are fond of hiking and adventure would camp overnight here and enjoy sunrise in the morning.
Die Fu Beach
Across Die Fu Beach is the Ping Chau Island of Hong Kong there is a boat factory nearby, in which produce seventy or eighty of yachts every year, and most of them are for export. As a result, the most unique scenery on the beach would be luxury yachts on shore. Die Fu Beach is quite large, but generally, sandy beach, sea water, and hinterland of plants are completely original and there are not any tourist facilities. Traffic is not convenient too. You must rent a car with local driver to take you there.
Other beautiful beaches are great places to go. But as they are not developed places for tourists, you should make preparation for the natural and original view, also the inconvenience of the transport.
