China tour include visit Panda

Dear Janet,


Firstly we landed in Beijing we weren't sure what to expect. We did know that our reception person was Sophia. She was brilliant, we were whisked away from the turmoil of the airport chaos and in no time were on our way to our first hotel.

Courtyard seven.
This was a lovely place to stay, except the bed was very hard. Very good location, lovely warm room with heated flooring. Breakfast was average, but not everyone has the same tastes, we did find enough to eat.
Our tour guide in Beijing was Lilly, again brilliant, always on time, or if delayed we were well informed of her arrival time, her knowledge of the tourist sites of Beijing was extensive, we particularly liked Sophia and Lilly. the highlight of Beijing was the Great Wall , we didn't like the Hutong tour as we felt it was a rip off, only a short ride in a ricks haw and the lunch in the locals house we didn't even meet the owners. I don't even know the guides name, we weren't introduced, as he was with another tour group we just joined for the last of the Hutong visit. We were only with this group for approximately ten minutes and were expected to pay this guide for his assistance, which we did ,but did feel it was a rip off.
xian
We were met a little late by our guide Jerry, his English we found hard to understand. He seemed to know the tourist spots well enough though. Hotel was satisfactory. Terracotta warriors were excellent. Jerry was late fifteen minutes one day and twenty minutes the next day.
Yantze river cruise.
The cabin was a very good size, beds comfortable, scenery spectacular. Food was repetitive for the whole trip, but again we found enough to eat. The banquet on the last night was quite good.
Chengdu
The hotel was good. The panda reserve was another highlight, truly the best place on earth to see the pandas. They were happy and content and playful. Our guide Lin was fantastic. Very flexible.

Guilin
Li river cruise was ok, not brilliant, food was less than average. Our guide Ocean was quite fluent in English . Our hotel in yangshu was very nice.

Shanghai
The hotel was fantastic , comfortable bed, big room with separate sitting room. Across the road from nanjing street shopping. Our guide snow, was outgoing his knowledge was acceptable.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in china. What an amazing place. We were relieved that every time we landed or got off a train someone was there to meet us, to check us in and make sure we were directed to our continuing destinations without any dramas at all. TCT is a very professionally run organisation that we will happily recommend to our family and friends, should we ever return to china we will again use this company. Thank you.
