Hi Bonnie,

Back home now after a very enjoyable trip - so thank you very much for a well organised itinerary. I would make a few comments and observations which may assist you with future clients.

(1) The guides and drivers were in general very good (Linda - Bejing & Eileen - Shangai) a little shy - Foster (Guilin) was excellent but Susan (Xi'an) was absolutely brilliant - I would also like to mention Annie who took us on the Hutong tour in Bejing - although a short tour - she was really very good and so interested in her work - will be an excellent guide with more experience.

(2) All areas on the itinerary visited were very good and interesting and so was the weather !!!!

I know all feed back is good to receive and sometimes we learn more from negative issues so I must share the following experiences with you .

(3) The lunches provided in Bejing & Guilin were very good with Xi'an being exceptional - I would suggest that the restaurant in Xi'an should be the standard for all TCT lunches.
Unfortunately, both the restaurants in Shanghai were below the standards expected - food had to be sent back because it was too cold.The restaurant in Chongqing was absolutely filthy and the food of a very poor quality with a cat jumping about on the tables - TCT should drop this restaurant as it will harm your reputation and harm future business

(4) The Ramada Bell Hotel in Xi'an is an excellent location with very good rooms - however - all the comments on TripAdvisor turned out to be very very accurate - the air conditioning is not switched below 26 degrees and despite several requests to staff by both Susan and ourselves the staff refused to lower the temperatures - said it was government policy for environmental reasons - however - we checked with other hotels in the area - this was not true. We found the attitude of the staff to be very poor and certainly not helpful to guests - would not be recommending that hotel to anyone.

Finally Bonnie, I would like to thank you for all your help from start to finish - you provided an excellent and professional service and I would certainly recommend TCT to my friends (despite the issues above). Hope to talk again in the future.
