Wuyishan Airport, Chinese name 武夷山机场, was built in 1958 as a military airport in the first place, in 1994 it started to service as a civilian airport to the public. In 2011, it was merged and acquired by Xiamen airlines. At present, Wuyishan airport has flights covering most of those major cities and travel cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Xian, Kunming and Haikou.
Wuyishan Airport locates 7 km south to the Wuyi city down. It locates between Wuyi city downtown and the Mt.Wuyi Scenic Area. If you hire a taxi to drive to the airport from the Mt.Wuyi scenic Area, it should take you no more than 40 yuan. Address: No.81, Wuyi Street, Wuyi city, Nanping city, Fujian province, China. As you could see from the picture listed below, at present, Wuyi airport has two floors and three boarding gates of which one is on ground floor and the others are on second floor. Though just three security checks, Wuyi airport is a very efficient functioning airport with all modern facilities fully equipped.
