Guangzhou East Railway Station

Located in Lin He Zhong Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou East Railway Station is a principal railway passenger station in China. It is mainly responsible for Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway, Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway, Guangzhou-Shantou Railway and other trains shunting into Guangzhou. The station is first high-speed railway starting station in China. It is an important symbol of the international metropolis and the window of internal links and opening for Guangzhou city. It has become a railway station ports with advanced equipment.

Most of the trains leave for other cities inside Guangdong Province, such as Dongguan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, depart from this station. So it is quite important station in the Pearl River Delta Area.

Basic Information

Structure

The main passenger building of the station is the hub of the entire station. The building is 272 meters long from east to west, 44 meters deep. The four floors is used for passenger service, mainly divided into Guangzhou-Kowloon Through Train Zone, Guangzhou-Shenzhen Train Zone and long-distanced Train Zone. The first floor has ticket windows for Guangzhou-Kowloon Direct trains, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen trains. There are also the Guangzhou-Shenzhen passenger waiting rooms and the luggage offices. The central area of the second floor is 4,957 square meters. It is a distributed floor for passengers to go up and down. In addition, there are ticket windows for long-distanced trains in the west side of this floor. In the east, there are 5 VIP waiting rooms, which has a total area of 1050 square meters. The third floor has a ticket office, train passenger waiting areas and long-term passenger waiting room inspection. In the fourth floor, there are waiting rooms for Guangzhou-Kowloon trains.

Transport Tips

There are several ways for you to get to the station.

Firstly, you can take the Nos.180, 201, 210, 211, 228, 234, 254, 257, 269, 275, Night11, Night14, Night15, Night18, Night25, etc. to get there. Secondly, the station can be reached by Subway Line 1 and 3. Also, you can take taxi to get there and the fare is depending on distance between the place where you get on the taxi and the station.
