►Aviation


Haikou Meilan Airport is 25 km from Haikou City. It has opened more than 60 routes to reach domestic and foreign cities, such as Hong Kong, Macau, Fukuoka in Japan, Cheju in Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, etc.

Traffic from the airport to the downtown (about 30 minutes):
1. Airport shuttle bus: runs from 5:30 a.m. to the last flight of the night in every 30 minutes; the fare is 20 yuan / person.
2. Bus: two buses No. 21 and No. 41 in the city can take you directly to the Meilan Airport; the fare is 5.00 yuan / person.
3. Taxi: the fare is generally around 60 yuan.

►Railway
Haikou Railway Station is 24 kilometers away from Haikou city center, located close to the beach. Now Haikou has four hard seat waiting room and a soft seat waiting room. Haikou Railway Station has opened air-conditioned express trains to Shanghai South Railway Station, Guangzhou and Beijing West. The trains from Haikou to Guangzhou spend about 11 hours.

►Waterway
Haikou has two ports including the New Port and Haikou Xiuying Port. It has more than 40 daily passenger ships bounding for the mainland coast, Hong Kong and other regions. Haikou New Port mainly operates passenger transport and car ferry between the Zhanjiang Port and Hai'an. Xiuying Port has major routes bounding for Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Hai'an and the North Sea.
