Do I Need Visa to Visit Hong Kong

As an international city, Hong Kong is a gateway city for a China tour because it is one of the largest transportation hubs in Asia. Hong Kong is also called “Oriental Pearl” and “Shopping Paradise”. Thousands and thousands of people travel to Hong Kong for tour or business every year. As a special administrative region of China, do people need to apply for visa to travel in Hong Kong?

When I travel to Hong Kong, but not visit mainland China, do I need to apply for China visa?

According to the policy, China government is in charge of all the foreign affairs of Hong Kong. But Hong Kong Administrate Government is authorized to handle some foreign affairs, relevant to economy, trading, finance, shipping, communication, tourism, culture, sport, ect. Besides, Hong Kong is an open city. When you travel to Hong Kong, you do not need to hold a China visa. But you need to entry Hong Kong accoridng to Hong Kong's Immigration Policy.

Who Can Visit Hong Kong Without Visa?

1.Hong Kong passport holder
2.The United Kingdome passport holder
3.Hong Kong Certificate of Identity holder
4.Hong Kong Re-entry Permit holder (for Hong Kong citizen back to Hong Kong from mainland China or Macau)
5.Valide Hong Kong Document of Identity holder
6.Hong Kong Identity Card holder

Those who do not belong to the above need to apply for a Hong Kong visa before entering Hong Kong if they travel to Hong Kong for work, study, business, tour, living, ect. Otherwise, you will not allowed to enter Hong Kong.
