Best time to visit Huangshan

The best time to visit Huangshan is any time of the year. Different season may meet different charms of Huangshan. A green mountain in spring, a resort area in summer, a climbing choice in autumn, and a snow land in winter, Huangshan is attractive all the time.
 

Travel to Huangshan in Spring

Spring in Huangshan (March - May) is a relatively best time to visit Huangshan and have a spring trip. In April the average temperature on Mt. Huangshan is 10°C (50F). When walking in the route of the mountain, you will get close to the green spring all the time.
 
In spring, flower blossoming, tree turning into green, stream melting, birds emerging, all of these things bring you a joyful mood in Huangshan (Twllow Mountain)
 
Clothes to pack - You can see the sunrise on the top of the mountain in the morning. The higher you climb the mountain, the colder you will feel. So just remember to take a thick coat with you.



 

Travel to Huangshan in Summer

Summer in Huangshan (Jun - Aug) time is the tourist high season. On the mountain, Summer is cool and tranquil in cloudy weather, but beware, you may still get burnt when the clouds clear. The wettest months are May through to August, with 300mm or more of rain each month. Huangshanan is ideal place for summer resort as it unique location and good quality air.
 
Summer is the best time to visit Huangshan 's Sea of Clouds, one of the famous four features of the mountain.
 
In Summer, visitors are not permitted to hold umbrellas because of the thunderstorms as the wind may catch them and cause falls down the mountain. Raincoats are preferable.



 

Travel to Huangshan in Autumn

Autumn in Huangshan (Sep - Nov) the most comfortable period and the scenery is stunningly beautiful. In mid-October every year, Huangshan enters the best period of autumn foliage viewing. The beauty of Huangshan's autumn leaves is different from other places. The colors of autumn leaves are very rich, and they are intertwined with pine trees.

Yellow Mountain is one of the best places to enjoy Autumn foliage in China, looking down on the deciduous trees of the ravines and valleys. The pines of course retain their verdant needles.

If possible, try to avoid the National Day Golden Week (Oct 1 - 7) because of the high hotel rates and the crowds formed by the China domestic tourists.



 

Travel to Huangshan in Winter

Winter in Huangshan (Dec - Feb) is regarded as a magnificent time in Huangshan. This time period can be said to be the best time to visit Huangshan's smog. You can take quite spectacular photos.

 
Winter, the longest of the four seasons, is chilly without being severe, though it can be freezing up on the mountain and spectacular snow-scapes are seen every year.

Clothes to pack – prepare about thick coats and feature coats. Temperature on the mountain is much lower than that in urban area. Boots are necessary.
