Huangshan Tunxi International Airport

Location: Huangshan Tunxi International Airport with a distance of 7 kilometers northeast to city centre is located in Tunxi District, Huangshan. It is the nearest airport to the Huangshan scenic area. The distance between Huangshan Airport and Huangshan north railway station is around 15 km and with Huangshan railway station is around 10 km. Scale and Age: The Huangshan Tunxi International Airport first started built in 1958. In 2008, the international terminal section of it was started to build to meet the increasing demands and was finished and set to service in the next year. By far, it has less than 10 boarding gates of which most are on the second floor in the airport. Though small, equipped with a full range of communications systems and weather command equipment, Tunxi International Airport is now a well-equipped modern international airport with an annual throughput capacity of 920,000 million passengers.

Transportation: 
Huangshan Airport to Huangshan City 
From the airport to the city, you can take the airport shuttle bus which charges 5 Yuan or take a taxi which charges about 15 Yuan. Or you could take the no.18 and no.19 bus heading to downtown area of which the frequency is 20 minutes. The service hours of those buses are from 7:00 to 17:30 every day. 

Regulations: Similar to all the other airports in China, the items of forbidden in Tunxi airport are Samsung galaxy, lighters and all the other dangerous goods ,lithium batteries less than 100Wh are only allowed to be taken on board as your personal item. Liquid facial cares are allowed if it is less than 100ml.
 

Huangshan Airport to Huangshan Mountain

From Huangshan airport to the Huangshan Mountain, you are advised to get to the Huangshan railway station or Huangshan inter-bus centre station first then get to the Huangshan scenic area from there. There are tourist buses at those stations and the frequency is 10 minutes. The price will be just 20 Yuan and the journey will take approximately one hour. Bear in mind the service hour of those buses are from 5:30 to 17:30 every day. You could also get a taxi or a van to get there. The cost of those cars will be 200 Yuan per car per trip and you could spit the bill with passengers.
 

Huangshan to Shanghai Flights

The flights from Huangshan Tunxi airport to shanghai (Shanghai-Hongqiao International Airport) are not many but quite economy. As the time table shows below, you could easily get an airplane ticket at a cost of less than 300 Yuan and it will take you to shanghai in about one hour’s time. The main Chinese airline cooperation China Eastern Airline and the shanghai airline company are the main airline companies you should search for in this case.
 

Huangshan to Hangzhou

There is no flight from Huangshan to Hangzhou so far. Tourists are advised to take high speed trains. The high speed trains from Huangshan to Hangzhou are quite convenient for a 3 hours’ trip costing 231 Yuan for a second class seat. The timetable is listed below for your reference.
