External Transport
Air
Jiayuguan Airport used to be the military airfield of the Kuomintang Government and was built in 1938. After liberation, the airport had not been use until the Jiuquan Nanjiao Aiport moved here in 1952. After several times renovation, the Jiayuguan Airport was opened. It is only over 10 km from downtown. There are flights to Beijing, Xian, Lanzhou, Urumqi, Duanhuang and other cities each week. The airport has good natural condition: open and flat terrain, good clearance conditions. In 1987, approved by the State Council and Civil Aviation Authority, Jiayuguan Glide Base merged with Jiayuguan Airport. Each year, there are glide fans from all over the world come here. It is now one of the three largest glide base in the world.
Railway
Jiayuguan Railway Station is located 5 km away from the center of the city on Yingbin Road. It is the First Class Passenger Station of the New Eurasian Land Bridge. There are trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Lanzhou, Xian, Urumqi and also international train to Russia and some Northern Europe countries.
Highway
The National Highway 312 passed through Jiayuguan. Jiayuguan is now connecting with Xining and Golmud in Qinghai, Mongolia, Lanzhou and Urumqi. The roads are in good condition. It just need half an hour to drive from Jiayuguan to Jiuquan City and only 6 hrs to Dunhuang.
Jiayuguan Bus Station is located at the junction of Shengli Zhong Road and Lanxin Xi Road.

Taxi
The starting fare of taxi here is 6 CNY for the first 3 km and 1.2 CNY for each km later.
Local Bus
The running hrs for local buses in Jiayuguan is mostly from 6:30-19:00. The price is 1 CNY.
