Jinan Transport

Jinan is the transport hub in Shandong Province. It has constituted a convenient three-dimensional transportation network extending in all directions.

External Traffic

►Aviation
Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport is 28.5 km away from the city center, 100 km away from Mount Tai, 170 km away from Qufu. It is one of the National Comprehensive 4E airports which can handle big civil aviation cargo flights. It has daily flights to Beijing, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Haikou, Hangzhou, Harbin, Kunming, Nanchang, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shantou, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Yantai, Zhangjiajie and other places. Jinan has successively opened regular flights to the cities of Taipei, Hualien and Taichung in Taiwan. While departing from the airport, tourists can take the the No. 309, 10, 97 buses to Jinan city; also, according to your arrival time of the flights, you can take the 24-hour airport shuttle buses to the city.

►Railway
Jinan has two passenger stations including Jinan Railway Station and Jinan East Railway Station. Jinan Railway Station is the province's largest railway terminal, Jinan - Shanghai Railway and Qingdao - Jinan Railway intersect here, making Jinan 490 km north to Beijing, 968 km south to Shanghai, 393 km east to Qingdao. Jinan East Railway Station is the auxiliary station. It has Qingdao - Dandong, Qingdao - Taiyuan, Beijing - Weihai trains passing here; and it has an originating train to Luoyang.

►Highway
Jinan has good location and developed transportation. As of 2011, the city's highway mileage is about 11,940 km. At present, it has G2 Jinghu Expressway (Beijing - Shanghai) run through the north-south direction of Jinan, G3 Jingtai Expressway (Beijing - Taipei), G35 Jiguang Expressway (Jinan - Guangzhou); G20 Qingyin Expressway (Qingdao - Yinchuan) run through the east-west of Jinan, G22 Qinglan Expressway (Qingdao - Lanzhou); also, it has 16 provincial highways run through the whole Jinan city. Jinan is the province's highway network center and expressway central hub.

City Traffic

►Bus
Jinan has more than 100 public buses. The ordinary buses charge 1 yuan, and the air-conditioned buses with the beginning letter "K" charge 2 yuan. The special tourism buses Tour 66 and Tour 68 as well as the Travel Tourism Car charge 2 yuan.

►Taxi
Taxies in Jinan are mostly Charade, Jetta and Santana. The starting price is 6 yuan (inside 3 km) and additional 1.2 yuan per kilometer beyond 3 km.
