Travel from Jingdezhen to Mt. Huangshan

Jingdezhen is located in northeastern Jiangxi Province, People's Republic of China. It is known as the "Porcelain Capital" because it has been producing pottery for 1,700 years.

Mt. Huangshan is sited in Anhui Province in China. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is one of the top scenic destinations in China. It is renowned for its magnificent scenery composed of many granite peaks and rocks emerging out of a sea of clouds. It sparked inspiration for visitors, poets, painters and photographers who come on pilgrimage to the site in the history, and it does the same nowadays. Jingdezhen is about 157 km away from Hunagshan. Travel from Jingdezhen to Mt. Huangshan is quite easy, by train, coach or car rental.

By Train

There are 7 pairs of Express Trains traveling from Jingdezhen to Huangshan every day. Two of them start off at late afternoon and the rest of them at mid night or early morning. Duration takes from 2 hours and 42 minutes to 3 hours and 29 minutes on the road, depending on different trains.

There are respectively soft and hard sleeping berths, as well as soft and hard seats. You may choose the one that meets your budgets. soft berths are the most comfortable.

By Coach

There are only a few buses leaving for Huangshan from Jingdezhen West Bus Terminal every day. Unfortunately, it is in fact impossible to figure out the bus schedule without going to the bus station (there is no phone number to call and nobody in town seems to be familiar with the schedule), but the bus station is a short taxi ride from town. It takes 2.5 hours from Jingdezhen to Jingdezhen West Bus Terminal to Huangshan Bus Terminal in Tunxi town.

Buses from Jingdezhen to Huangshan would arrive at Tunxi town only (it is near the downtown of Huangshan City). If you need to Mt. Huangshan Scenic Area, you must transfer to local bus from Tunxi, which may takes about 40 minutes.

By Car Rental

It you prefer a more flexible trip on the road, you can book car rental service through a travel agency with driver and tour guide.
