How to Get to Huanglong National Park from Jiuzhaigou Valley

Where is Huanglong National Park and Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area

Huanglong National Park, or Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area(黄龙风景名胜区) is located in Songpan, Aba, Sichuan, and in the north of Sichuan province. It is in the north of Chengdu, and about 377 kilometers away from it. Huang National Park is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992, and featured with its colorful lake, snowy mountain, valley and forest.

Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area or Jiuzhai Valley National Park (九寨沟风景区) is located in Jiuzhaigou, Aba, Sichuan, in the north of Sichuan province, close to the border between Sichuan province and Gansu province. It is close to three big cities, Chengdu, Lanzhou and Xi'an. Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area is listed among the most beautiful scenic areas in China, reputed for its beautiful and tranquil scenery.

How to Get to Huanglong National Park from Jiuzhaigou Valley

Huanglong National Park is in the south of Jiuzhaigou Valley, and about 127 kilometers away from it. For tourists from Jiuzhaigou Valley to Huanglong National Park, here lists some transportation options.

Option 1: Bus

Bus from Jiuzhaigou Valley to Huanglong National Park starts at Jiuzhaigou Goukou Bus Station and stops at Huanglong scenic area, which takes about 3.5 hours and costs about 40 yuan for a person. Considering lots of tourists will go to Huanglong from Jiuzhaigou, you may buy a ticket ahead of time. Jiuzhaigou Goukou Bus Station is close to Jiutong hotel(九通宾馆), and the bus goes to Huanglong in the morning at 06:30 and 07:00, and goes back in the afternoon.

Option 2: Taxi

Taxi is a convenient way for tourists to go to Huanglong form Jiuzhaigou, but it should be much more expensive, about 400 yuan. If you are in a group of 3 or 4, the taxi fare will be more reasonable.

Option 3: Car Rental
