Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport

Location: Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is the only airport in Lanzhou. It is a main airport in northwest and one of the busiest airports in China. With a distance of 67 kilometers northwest to city centre, Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is located in Zhongchuan town of Lanzhou. Security Service and Regulations:  There are 15 security checking passes in this airport with the No.1 Gate for VIP customers , the No.2 to 12 gates open daily for serving and the No.13 to 15 gates open only during rush hours and crowded holiday time. Similar to all the other airports in China, the items of forbidden in Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport are Samsung galaxy, lighters and all the other dangerous goods ,lithium batteries less than 100Wh are only allowed to be taken on board as your personal item. Liquid facial cares are allowed if it is less than 100ml.
 

How to Get to Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport

Lanzhou City Centre to Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport by Intercity Train

There are 17 trains running between Lanzhou Train Station and Zhongchuan Airport every day with a frequency of around half an hour per one, the serving time is between 05:40 and 21:34.If you are traveling from Lanzhou airport to Lanzhou city, the serving time is lightly different which is between 07:30 and 22:43.This 50-minute-journey will cost you ¥21.5 yuan for a second class seat or ¥26 yuan for a first class seat.

From Lanzhou city centre to Lanzhou Airport, you can take the airport shuttle bus which charges 30 yuan. The service hours of airport buses are from 05:30 to 20:00 every day. The frequency is half an hour per bus. From Lanzhou airport to Lanzhou city centre, it starts and closes at the same time as the first and the last flight on the same day with a rather random frequency depends on the flights’ arrival schedule. Lanzhou City Centre to Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport by Taxi

Alternatively you could choose to take a taxi if you are running out of time for any of those trains or buses. A taxi to Lanzhou Airport from Lanzhou city would cost you 150 to 200 yuan easily and the journey will normally take one hour.
 

Lanzhou to Dunhuang by Flight

There are ten flights flying from Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport to Dunhuang Airport daily. As the time table shows below, you could easily get an airplane ticket at a cost around 500 yuan and it will take you to Dunhuang in about one hour and 45 minutes. 
 

Lanzhou to Zhangye by Fllight

The flights from Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport to Zhangye Ganzhou Airport are not many but quite economy. As the time table shows below, you could easily get an airplane ticket at a cost of less than 400 yuan and it will take you to Zhangye in about one hour’s time. Tianjin Airlines and Chengdu Airlines are the main airlines serving this journey with a daily frequency.
