How to Get to Hong Kong from Macau

Helicopter between Hong Kong and Macau operates from 9:00 am and 11: pm every day with a terminal of only 30 minutes. It takes only 15 minutes for one-way fly. Although it offers much more convenience for passengers, but the cost is much more expensive than taking boat, especially during public holidays. The heliport is located on the top of Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal.


 

By Boat

Travel between Hong Kong and Macau by boat is very convenient, fast and comfortable. There are scheduled vessels between them every day, providing fast and comfortable shipping service.

There are two passenger terminals in Macau, one is Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal (Terminal Marítimo do Porto Exterior in Portuguese), the other is Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal. There are boats leaving fro Hong Kong every day at these two terminals. Hong Kong also has two terminals, one is Shun Tak Ferry Terminal on Hong Kong Island, and the other is Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

Two terminals in Macau have boats to terminals in Hong Kong respectively. Boasts leaving for Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon departs every 15 minutes, and boats for Shun Tak Ferry Terminal on Hong Kong Island set off every half an hour. But they takes almost the same time for one way trip, about one hours. Passengers can choose which terminal you should depart from as per your schedule or needs.

If you want to go shopping in Hong Kong, you can go to Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It is right next to the Harbour City shopping center, you ca also take the MTR to Mong Kok, where are many shopping centers around the places, including Langham Place, Mong Kok Nathan Road, Bo Elysées, Ladies Street, etc. Around the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal, there are many hotels nearby, such as the Marco Polo Hotel, The Royal Pacific Hotel, Fort Dragon Hotel, etc.

In Macau, most of hotels and casinos have free shuttle buses to the terminals. Passengers can book boat tickets 28 days in advance. During the holidays, we recommend to book in advance and purchase round-trip tickets.
