Located about 38 kilometers to the west of Nanning City,Yangmei Ancient Town was built in Song dynasty and developed in Ming dynasty. It met the most prosperous time in Qing dynasty. The well-preserved buildings such as the ancient street, lane, temple, shrine, house, tree, port, Wenwu pagoda, and beacon tower, all of them are standing there quietly but not unattractively.
For Yangmei Ancient Town is near to Nanning city, so usually, to get to the town, you are supposed to choose airplane, train or coach bus to reach Nanning City first, then transfer to Yangmei Ancient Town.
By Bus
Visitors can take shuttle buses at No.198 Huaqiang Road, diagonally opposite Nanning Train Station, or Nanning Bei Da Bus Station. It takes about 1.5 hours to arrive at Yangmei Ancient Town. The buses depart from Nanning at 09:00 am, 10:00 am and 11:00 am, and departs from Yangmei Ancient Town at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
By Tourist Boat
Except for the buses, visitors can also take tourist boat at Yongjiang River Dock to reach there; the boat departs at 08:30 am and returns at 15:30 pm. The cost is about 1 hour.
