External Transport
Air
Ordos Airport is located at Buertaige Village in Ejin Horo Banner, 45 km south of Dongsheng District, 18 kilometers from the new Kanbashi District, 20 km southwest from Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourism Development Zone. Currently, Ordos Airport has opened flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Hohhot, Sanya, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, etc.
Dongsheng District of Ordos’s airport shuttle buses depart at 8:00, 13:00, 16:00, 18:00, and departure time from the airport is 10:00, 15:30, 18:30, and 20:00. The whole line takes one hour, and the fare is 25 yuan / person.

Railway
Ordos City is one of the important railway transportation hubs in northwest China. The west-east lines are Dazhun, Zhundong, Dongwu Railways, while the north-south lines are Baosheng, Baoxi Railways passing Ordos connecting Jingbao, Baolan and other railways. The transportation is very quiet convenient.
At present, Ordos Dongsheng Railway Station has opened trains to Hohhot, Baotou, Shengmu and other cities. And also you could buy train tickets from Baotou to Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, etc.
Highway
Ordos’s highway is very developed. National Roads 109 and 210 intersects here, connecting with provincial roads, county roads, which consist of the highway traffic network. Ordos now has regular buses to Hohhot, Shijiazhuang, Yanan, Shengmu, Baotou and other destinations.
There are two bus stations in Dongsheng District. The bus station nearing Government Street has long-distance buses to other cities and each banners.
Inner Transportation
Taxi
Ordos’s taxies are mostly Poussin or Jetta, starting at 5 Yuan. As the city is relatively small, most destinations in the city just take 5 Yuan to arrive.
Bus
Ordos has 7 bus lines in the city. The No.1 and 4 buses pass by the railway station. The stations distribute everywhere in the city, very convenient.
