Situated in the southwest of Shanghai,Fengjing Ancient Town (枫泾古镇) is 57 kilometers (about 35 miles) from Shanghai City. Fengjing is a typical town in south of Yangtze River. There is water network throughout the town. the town has numerous rivers and more than 52 bridges. The oldest existing bridge is Zhihe Bridge built in Yuan Dynasty. It now has nearly 700 years of history. There are four ancient buildings, Heping Street, Shengchan Street, North Street, Friendship Street.
►By bus
Take regular buses at Shanghai Tour Bus Center Hongkou Station. There are direct buses to Fengjing Ancient Town every day.
►By subway
Take Subway Line No.1, and get off at Jinjiang Amusement Park Station (锦江乐园站) . Then, walk to the West Meilong Bus Station (西梅陇汽车站) where you can catch the Feng Mei Xian (枫梅线) Line to arrive in Fengjing Ancient in 45 minutes. You should get off at the Fengjing Pailou stop (枫泾牌楼站), which is the terminal of the bus. The bus trip will take about 1 hour. Or from the Jinjiang Park Station, you can take a direct bus at the Xinan Bus Station.
►By driving
Take the G60 Express at the Fenjing Exit; go to Fengjing and the parking lot of Fengjing Ancient Town. It takes about an hour to travel by car from downtown Shangha.
