In spring, East Asian monsoon wind in winter season transit to summer monsoon. The low pressure and frontal activity intensified. The spring climate is characterized by cold and rainy, and it often occurs wild wind and heavy snow in south Shannan.
Shannan spring’s average temperature is 7 ~ 15 ℃. The feature of the temperature distribution is lower from north and east to south and west areas. The precipitation is 270-660 mm in the whole region, the precipitation distribution gradually decreases from eastern to the western region.
In summer, with the summer monsoon circulation system established, southeast wind prevails. The Northwest Pacific subtropical high activities have a major impact on the weather, while the northern cold air still has some impact. In early summer, Shannan gradually enters the rainy season. At height of summer, affected by the subtropical high, Shannan’s climate is prone to being fine, hot and dry, resulting in the phenomenon of drought.
Shannan summer climate is characterized by high temperatures, the uneven spatial and temporal distribution of precipitation, short-term and more intense precipitation, light intensity, dry air and frequent meteorological disasters. The whole region’s average temperature is 15 ~ 20 ℃ in summer, and the temperature distribution is characterized by decreasing from the central region to the surrounding areas. The precipitation is around 230 to 500 mm. Main meteorological disasters in summer: storms, drought, heat, thunderstorms, high winds, tornadoes, etc.
In autumn, summer monsoon wind gradually weakened and transit to winter monsoon winds, cyclones' activities causing the frequent frontal precipitation, and temperatures changed greatly. Weather features: In the early autumn, Shannan is prone to the rhythm of the rainy weather. During Mid-autumn, controled by the high-pressure weather system, it is prone to clear and sunny.
In late autumn, the northern cold air began to increasing, cold and warm, sunny and rainy weather converse frequently. The temperature fluctuate in big range. Average temperature of the whole region is 8 ~ 16 ℃ in fall.
