Applicable to the visa free policy, citizens from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand can visit China without visa.
 

Based on the 30-day visa free policy between China and Singapore, Singaporean citizens holding ordinary passport who enter China for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes can stay in China for less than 30 days.
 

Ordinary passport holders of Malaysian nationality are exempt from visa requirement to enter China who can stay for no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes. Malaysians who do not meet the above-mentioned requirements still need to apply for Chinese visa before entering China.
 

Based on the 30-day visa free policy between China and Thailand, Thai citizens holding ordinary passport who enter China for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes can stay in China for less than 30 days.

 

Travel to Pearl River Delta/Chu Chiang Delta, Hainan and Guilin of China

Pearl River Delta/Chu Chiang Delta

Foreigners who hold ordinary passports of countries that have diplomatic relations with China and have been in Hong Kong and Macao may enter the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong (referring to the administrative regions under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Huizhou) through a legally registered travel agency in Hong Kong and Macao, and may stay for less than 6 days without a visa. The above-mentioned policies are also applicable to the above-mentioned groups traveling to Shantou, if they leave the country directly from Shantou and their activities do not exceed the administrative area of Shantou.
 

Travel to Hainan Province

Citizens from above 59 countries can stay in Hainan Province for less than 30 days. 
 

Travel to Guilin

Tour groups from 10 ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines) (two or more persons) should be received by the travel agency approved by the tourism authorities in Guilin, Guangxi. And all members of the tour group should enter and leave China from the airports and ports of Guilin, and they can stay in Guilin for no more than six days without a visa.

 

Transit

24 hours

Foreigners holding interline tickets or joint tickets of international flights, cruises or trains, transit from China to a third country or region, and stay in China for no more than 24 hours and do not leave the restricted area of the ports may be exempted from visas.

72 hours and 144 hours

Citizens of the following 53 countries(Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine. Belarus, USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates and Qatar) can stay in China for less than 72 hours or 144 hours without visa.
 

Citizens from above 53 countries holding a valid passport or other international travel documents and interline ticket to a third country (region) with a confirmed date and seat within 72 hours, can stay for less than 72 hours without a visa (you can leave the airport) if you transit to a third country (region) from the airports of Guangzhou, Guilin, Chongqing, Xi' an, Harbin and Changsha.
 

Citizens of above 53 countries holding valid passport or other international travel documents and interline ticket to a third country (region) with a confirmed date and seat within 144 hours, can stay for less than 144 hours without a visa (you can leave the airport) from some ports in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Xiamen, Qingdao, Wuhan, Chengdu and Kunming.

 

Holders of valid APEC Business Travel Card

The APEC Business Travel Card is equivalent to a five-year multiple visa. Holders of APEC business travel card can enter China for multiple times with the travel card and a valid passport consistent with the card, with each stay ranging from less than 60 days or 90 days.

 

Holders of valid Foreigner Permanent Residence Certificate/Permanent Resident Card in China

Holders of valid permanent resident card in People's Republic of China (PRC) can stay in China and enter and leave China for multiple times without applying for Chinese visa.

 

Holders of valid foreigner residence permit issued by the public security organ of China

Foreigners with D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas who have applied to the public security organs for a residence permit for foreigners can stay in China and enter and leave China for multiple times within the validity period of the residence permit, without applying for another visa.

 

Citizens applicable to the List of Agreements on Mutual Visa Exemption Between the People’s Republic of China and Foreign Countries

Exemption of visa requirements does not mean permission to stay and reside in the other contracting country for an indefinite period of time. According to the agreements, holders of valid specified passports are permitted to stay for less than 30 days upon entry into the other contracting country. If a passport holder intends to stay for over 30 days, he or she should go through residence formalities with the local authorities according to relevant regulations as soon as possible.
