Mount Huashan, formerly known as "Xiyue" and elegantly known as "Taihua Mountain", is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, a national key scenic spot, and a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is one of China's famous Five Sacred Mountains and the birthplace of Chinese civilization. This mountain is celebrated for its majestic breath-taking crags, steep paths, beautiful scenery and it is said to be the most precipitous mountain in the world. Mt. Huashan is huge complete granite. Its history can be traced back 120 million years before.

Visitors should take Xian-Zhengzhou bullet trains (also known as Xian-Zhengzhou High-speed trains) from Xian North Railway Station and get off at Huanshan North Station (located in the town of Mengyuan). After get out of the railway station, there are many minibuses in green, which will pick you up outside the station and take you directly to Mt. Huashan. This train trip takes about 30 minutes. ► By Bus
Buses (coaches or minibuses) leave from the East side of the Xian Railway Station's southern parking lot. Buses leave regularly during daylight hours. During peak season there are buses starting at 6am. Look for a sign saying 华山 (Huashan). If you not sure then just ask the other buses and they will direct you. The bus will drop you off at the foot of the mountain. The standard buses are mixed in with buses to the Terracotta Warriors, and other destinations. So make sure you get on the right bus. Or Take Tourism Bus Line 1 at Xian Railway Station and arrive at the foot of Huashan Mountain.
Or Visitors can go to Xian Cheng Dong Coach Station and take the regular bus to Huayin (Mt. Huashan). The bus departs every 15 minutes between 07:00 am to19:15 pm. It will costs CNY 35 and the bus journey takes about 2 hours.
Note: The Tourist line 1 bus will eventually drop you at the main Ticket Hall - East Gate (after 1 stop elsewhere). Go into the hall to buy your tickets.
