|
According to the postures of the terra cottas, pit 1 is the right army of Qinshihuang.

From the east to the west in this pit, there are 38 rows terra cottas. The whole pit unearthed about 6,000 terra cottas in a square formation.

Excavated Problem
|
The excavated speed in Pit 2 is very slow. Because at present, there is no high efficient colored terra cottas maintaining technique. Once the colored terra cottas unearthed, the color on the them will be faded out within few minutes later.

Although this pit is smaller than the other two, it has high value in the archaeology. From the scene there, we may trace about the ancient military command.

A Destroy in Pit 3
|
Inside Pit 3, heads of the most of the terracotta warriors disappeared. Even more, some parts missed. From these clues, some conclude that Pit 3 was experienced a destroy by men.

Bronze Chariots and Horses

No. 1 Bronze Chariot

The No. 1 Bronze Chariot is one chariot in Qingshihuang’s honor guard. It plays as a safeguard function in the honor guard.

No. 2 Bronze Chariot

According to a conclusion from archaeological experts, the No. 2 Braonze Chariot may be used by Qingshihuang only. Thus, the No. 2 chariot is more luxurious and elaborate than the No. 1 chariot. |

Long Handle Weapons: the long handle weapons unearthed in the pits are spear, dagger-axe, halberd, tomahawk, and beryllium bronze and so on. Just one of them was made of iron, others are bronze weapons. They all has long wooden handle.
Long-range Weapons: As early as the Warring States Period, Qin had already used strong crossbow as weapon and it played an important role in wars at that time.
