Yichang Sanxia Airport

Yichang Sanxia Airport is an important supporting project of Three Gorges Project. It was officially put into use on December 28, 1996. It cost a total investment of 750 million Yuan. It is located in Xiaoting District, Yichang City, 26 km away from the city center and 55 km from the Three Gorges Dam. It is north to Yihuang Highway, south to the Yangtze golden waterway and east to Jiaozhi railway.

Since put into use in December 1996, there have been 12 domestic airlines and4 foreign and regional temporary routes. It connects with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Enshi, Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Wuhan, Nanjing, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Wenzhou, Nanning, Xiamen, Shantou, Huangshan etc. International flights to South Korea, Japan and other regions are planned to open in the future.

The airport has an area of 100 square meters and 13 business lounges. There are also security channel and departure system for VIP passenger; it also provides convenient high-speed broadband Internet service and high quality service facilities for the VIP guests. Airport also has business management areas about 1,600 square meters. And there are parking spaces which have an area of 17,000 square meters and can provide more than 1,000 vehicles.

There are 6 existing airport bus, which imports Coaster bus 1, 2 sets of luxury Golden Dragon bus , luxury bus north three .

Buses to the dock: the buses depart from the exit of the airport. The buses stops the service after the arrival of the last flight every. It runs from Yichang Sanxia Airport to Yichang Qingjiang Hotel, with a distance of about 40 km. And it takes about 50 minutes. The buses pass the nearest major railway stations and end at the dock.

If passengers buy ticket in ticket office at Hongxing Road, they can ride free airport shuttle. The terminal station of this route is Yichang Sanxia Airports.

There are also buses leaving for Jingzhou in the airport. The first bus departs at 10:30 and 16:00 every day. And the running hour is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
