Zhangjiajie Railway Station (once called Dayong North Railway station) is located in Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. There are five main waiting rooms, the total area of which is 18,783 square meters with a maximum capacity of up to 3,000 people. The capacity is five times larger than the original station. The construction area of canopy with no pillar is 33,800 square meters. There are three stations, which is 550 meters long and 12 meters wide.
The station has 5 train lines. The platform canopy it built with large span steel truss light steel roof with 48 steel columns supporting the canopy. There is no block to the sight of buildings. All platforms are column-free and high, which make it the national first-class train station. There are 14 ticket offices and two consultation windows, which make the ticket capacity double. New station was built with TV monitor synchronization, electronic guidance, system to send notices, visitors' inquiries and other passenger automated management information integration system. It made use of a large number of advanced technologies.
