Guangdong Shenguang Mountain National Forest Park, located in Fuxing Avenue, Xingning City, Meizhou, Guangdong Province, with a total area of 674.6 hectares. The park is an urban national forest park based on the natural landscape of Shenguang Mountain, featuring religious culture, and integrating historical culture, Hakka culture, sightseeing, mountaineering, fitness and recreation. The main landscapes are Shenguang Temple, Ancestor's Hall, Mochi Temple, Tanhua Academy, Shigu Dawang Temple, Wangxing Pavilion, etc. There are more than 1,000 kinds of plants of 70 families and 200 genera, and there are more than 400 kinds of wild animals.
Shenguangshan Square is planned to cover an area of 100,000 square meters, of which the square area is about 20,000 square meters, including the entrance square, the memorial gate, the welcoming square, the visitor reception center, the Dieshui Waterfall (叠水瀑布) and the Qinglian Pond (清莲池).
Shenguang Temple is a thousand-year-old temple, the plaque on the door of the temple "Shenguang Temple" inscription for the Bangkok Beiliu "Longfusi" abbot Chang Ci Master (Shi Shan Guang). The couplet on the main gate, "神山藏古寺，光影照尘寰," reflects the splendor of this ancient temple. The building is modeled after the Thai temple architectural style, similar to the Hakka architecture with three halls and two horizontal layouts, red walls and green tiles, majestic and solemn. It mainly includes the mountain gate, the Great Buddha's Hall, Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas, Hall of the Three Saints of the East, Hall of the Three Saints of the West, Drum Tower (Hall of the God of Fortune), Bell Tower (Hall of the God of Fortune), Guest Hall, Office of the Circulation of Dharma Materials, Chanting Hall, and Lenten Hall, etc., among which the Great Buddha's Hall is a Thai-style Lotus Hall, with three statues of the Buddha of more than 2 meters high.
There is a stone spring on the edge of the Mochi Temple in the mountain col to the east of Shenguang Mountain. The spring water gush from the stone and flows continuously. The spring water is clear and pure without impurities, and the water tastes sweet. According to the Ming Dynasty compiled Zhengde Xingning Zhi records, the Song bachelor Luo Mengjiao juvenile study here, often in the spring side of the pool Xi Shu, wash ink stone in the pool, the water is ink color, and thus the name of the ink pool.
Shigu King Hall is designed according to the shape of Shenguang Mountain, forming a staggered architectural complex and mountain landscape. Shigu King Hall building using a decentralized layout along the side of the mountain layout, each building are facing the green mountains and water, with a good view of the landscape line of sight, so that tourists are in the middle of it as if they were in the mountains surrounded by the forest landscape.
Nanshan Lake is a natural lake with beautiful scenery based on the mountains. The entrance trestle can reach the Lake Pavilion, tourists in the Lake Pavilion can enjoy a full range of Nanshan Lake handsome landscape. Along the shore of the Nanshan Lake ecological greenway strolling slowly, both sides of the colorful wild flowers such as jewels scattered, like a fairyland. The colorful flower fields around the lake attract many tourists to come here to play and take photos, and the rich landscape space of the wetland garden is even harder for people to stop and leave.
The design is inspired by Tao Yuanming's "The Story of Peach Blossom Garden": "Walking along the stream, forgetting about the distance of the road, I suddenly came across a peach blossom forest, hundreds of paces along the bank, with no trees, beautiful grass, and colorful flowers." In order to create the beautiful scenery of the Peach Blossom Garden, according to the current terrain conditions, a small stream is designed to run through the Peach Blossom Garden scenic spot, which gathers the water flow from the concave part of the mountain on the southeast side, arranges natural stones, plants peach blossoms on both sides of the stream, called "Yinhongjian", and finally flows to the Nanshan Lake, forming a polymorphic water circulation system.
Qichang Building is a landmark building in Xingning. The square at the top of Shenguang Mountain creates a sense of entrance ceremony by arranging garden lights, tree pools and flower beds. Leisure pavilions and viewing platforms are set up around the music square to create an intimate, pleasant and spacious public viewing space. The Qichang Building on the hilltop is built according to the mountain, with the word "Ning" as the design basis and the concept of "Dragon House" as the design basis, combining with the open terrace to set up a rooftop open-air café, and arranging landscape water surface and sculpture wall around the building to create an atmosphere of integration of nature and humanity.
The Wetland Park is located in the southwest of Shenguang mountain, divided into wetland landscape display area, landscape platform display area and landscape waterfall viewing area. The wetland landscape display area is themed with openness and flavor, where there are landscape pavilions, leisure trestles, ecological green islands, fishing platforms, and display gardens, which let visitors feel the rich Southeast Asian flavor at the entrance area.
