Renhou Wengong Ancestral Hall (仁厚温公祠), also known as Qunfeng Dafu Di, is a typical Hakka house in Meizhou built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 520 years, and it is the only Hakka house in the Meizhou area that has been included in the book "Traditional Chinese Folk Houses Architecture". Located in Qunfeng Village, Bingcun Town, Meixian District, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, Renhou Wengong Ancestral Hall is the ancestral home of the Wen family. According to legend, in the early Ming Dynasty, the founding father Liu Bowen went south to avoid trouble and was taken in by the Wen family, and after living in seclusion for a few years, he was reinstated to his official position. Before leaving, in order to express gratitude to the Wen's, Liu Bowen pointed out three pieces of geomantic treasure land, will say in this three pieces of treasure to create the foundation, can keep the family name of the children and grandchildren prosper. Later, these three places are to open the base of reproduction, the third of which is now Renhou Wen Gong Ancestral Hall is located.
Renhou Wengong Ancestral Hall was built in the third year of Hongzhi of Ming Dynasty (1490), and has formed the present scale and pattern through the continuous construction and repair of more than ten generations. The entire complex covers an area of more than 23,000 square meters, with nearly 500 houses and halls, capable of housing nearly 500 people. It adopts the structure of "四进三堂八横三围龙", which consists of the halls in the central axis, the horizontal houses on both sides, the enclosing houses at the back, and the pond etc. It is a Hakka clan house that integrates the functions of ancestral hall, residence and defense.
Ren Hou Wen Gong Ancestral Hall is not only a Hakka residential building with high historical and artistic value, but also a cultural heritage that embodies the culture and spirit of Hakka.
Renhou Wengong Ancestral Hall is a typical Hakka Weilong house (围龙屋), and it is also the oldest and the most massive one among the Weilong houses in Meizhou. It combines the functions of a clanhouse and a residential house, and the whole complex is large and majestic; at its largest scale, there were more than 400 houses, capable of housing nearly 500 people. The combination of the semicircular pond in front of the house, the overall semicircular house and the square house in the middle reflects the ancient Chinese philosophy of "天圆地方", and also reflects the Hakka people's concept of family, sense of defense, and belief in feng shui (风水).
Renhou Wengong Ancestral Hall is the ancestral home, as well as the spiritual support of the Wen Clan. It has witnessed the rise and fall of the Wen Clan and carries the traditional virtues and cultural essence of the Wen Clan. It has a legendary origin with Liu Bo Wen, and also has a close connection with the Hakka Weilong house. It is a model of Hakka culture and architecture and the pride of the Hakka people.

Transportation: Renhou Wengong Ancestral Hall is about 40 kilometers away from the downtown of Meizhou City. You can take the shuttle bus from Meizhou to Bingcun Town, get off at Qunfeng Village and walk about 1.5 kilometers to get there. You can also drive or charter a car to get there.
