Shantou Small Park is in the old city of Shantou, where the most concentrated historical and cultural heritage of Shantou can be found. It gathers historical buildings from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, such as government offices, foreign firms, consulates, apartments, private residences, industrial chambers, cinemas, restaurants, etc. It also integrates traditional Chaoshan architecture, arcade street houses, and modern historical sites.
The Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion in the Small Park, also known as the Small Park Pavilion, is located at the intersection of Guoping Road, Shengping Road, and Anping Road in the Shantou opening area. It occupies the central position of the Small Park block in the Shantou opening area. It is a memorial pavilion built in the early 1930s to commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen's three visits to Shantou. As one of the cultural landmarks of Shantou's "hundred-year commercial port", the Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion in the Small Park carries the memories of countless Chaoshan people.

In 1932, the Nansheng Trading Company Building was completed. It was seven stories high and had the first elevator in Shantou. The first and second floors were department stores, and the third and fourth floors were Central Restaurants. Its integrated shopping, dining, accommodation, and entertainment in one building. It was very popular and prosperous at that time.
The department store building (Nansheng Trading Company) is a milestone in the development of Shantou. It symbolizes the glory of the hundred-year commercial port. It has experienced a hundred years of vicissitudes. The department store building with a unique architectural style still stands in the old city of Shantou, becoming an important carrier of Shantou's historical and cultural heritage.

The Shantou Opening Culture Exhibition Hall is dedicated to the display of Shantou's opening history, culture, cultural relics, and artworks. It is open to the public for free and has become a landmark attraction of Shantou's historical and cultural tourism.
The first floor is a multi-functional exhibition hall, displaying the information and pictures of Shantou's opening since then. The second-floor exhibition hall collects more than 100 precious cultural relics donated by citizens and social figures, which will serve as a permanent exhibition hall for opening cultural relics. The third floor is a display and demonstration hall for Chaoshan culture, displaying Chaoshan musical instruments and holding cultural salon activities from time to time.

The Qiaopi Museum is opposite to the Opening Culture Exhibition Hall. It is the first Qiaopi Museum in China, converted from the old site of the Bank of China Shantou Branch. In Chaoshan dialect, "letter"(信件) is called "pi"(批), and Qiaopi, also known as silver letter, is the collective name for letters and remittance vouchers sent by overseas Chinese to their relatives in their hometown through folk channels.
The museum has a collection of more than 120,000 Qiaopi. Among them, a Qiaopi sent by a father who lived in Thailand 151 years ago to his son in his hometown with 10 yuan, became one of the oldest overseas Chinese historical relics in the country.
