Dear Tracy,
Greetings from Sophie, your tour advisor in Top China Travel!
At first, please kindly be advised that all of our guides are local Chinese. Therefore, Chinese is their mother togue. All the guides can speak Chinese. Therefore, guide is not a problem for you to bring your parents to visit China, if you speaking and understand standard Chinese ( Mandarin), but not Cantonese because seldom people speaking Cantonese in China, except people from Guangdong and Hong Kong Area.
Besides, regarding the tours, almost all the tours on our website are private tour, which can be customize according to clients’ private requests. Therefore, it is easy to arrange a tour for you and your parents.
May I have more information about your tour plan so that our sales representative could tailor make a private tour for your family?
1) Do you have exact traveling dates in Oct of 2014? If your time in Oct is flexible, I suggest you avoid the Oct 1-7 as it will be too crowded at public area, transportation and scenic spots during the National Day Holiday in China and the airfare & hotel rate will be higher than usual.
2) How many of you will take this tour? 3 of you ( you and your parents)?
3) What category of hotels you prefer to stay? 5 star deluxe hotels, 4 star 1st class comfortable hotels or 3 star hotels with only basic facility?
4) How many days you hope the tour lasts?
5) Which cities you are interested in? since your parents can speaking Chinese, I guess they were Chinese. They know more about China than you. You might ask them which cities they are interested in. Beijing---capital city, history and culture, Xian---famous for Qin terracotta Warrior, ancient capital in Tang Dynasty, Guilin---famous for hills and waters, countryside landscape, Shanghai---large modern city in China, water town famous surrounding it. Or other places they are interested in.
Hope the above is clear and helpful.
Best regards
Sophie Huang
