Who Can Enter Macao?
- Macao residents
- Travelers who reside in the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan
- Foreign nationals for business, study, and humanitarian needs who have been in the Chinese Mainland for 21 days before entering Macao.
All travelers must have proof of a negative result for the COVID-19 test issued no more than 48 before departure. Travelers arriving from high-risk countries/regions must undergo a 14-day quarantine.
COVID-19 testing
Visitors from the United States must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken within 48 hours before departing to Macau.
Permitted travelers from Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Turkey are required to present three (3) RT-PCR tests taken within seven (7) days. The tests must have 24 hours apart. The last test must be performed no earlier than 48 hours before boarding to Macao.
Quarantine
Visitors from the United States will need to quarantine for 21 days upon entering Macau.
Permitted travelers from Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Turkey are required to quarantine for 28 days or 35 days if they are tested positive for a serologic test.
Can I travel to Macau from the United States?
Most visitors from the United States, regardless of vaccination status, will not be allowed to enter Macau.
