From December 17th, 2024, 72-hour visa free and 144-hour visa-free transit policy are extended to 240 hours(10 days). At the same time, 21 ports of entry and exit have been added for visa-free transit individuals, further expanding the allowed areas for visa-free transit travelers. Individuals from 54 eligible countries, including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada, traveling from China to a third country(region), can enter visa-free through any of the 60 open ports in 24 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities), and stay within the allowed areas for visa-free transit travelers for no more than 240 hours.
In Guangxi, the area you can stay includes Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin, Wuzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, Qinzhou, Guigang, Yulin, Hezhou, Hechi and Laibin, 12 cities in total. And the entry port of Guilin is Guilin Liangjiang International Airport.
Guilin is also eligible for the 30-day visa-free policy to China for 38 countries. From November 30, 2024 to December 31, 2025, ordinary passport holders from the 38 countries(Brunei, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan) can enter China without a need to apply for a visa for the purposes of business, tourism, family visits, exchanges and visits and transit, with stays of no more than 30 days.
Ordinary passport holders of tourist groups from 10 ASEAN countries(Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines) can enter and leave Guilin without a visa from Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. Tourists eligible for this visa-free policy should enter and leave Guilin as a whole tourist group. The travel agency receiving the tourist groups from ASEAN countries should be legally registered in China. The area you can visit and stay is only Guilin City. The duration of stay is 144 hours(6 days).

According to the latest regulations released by the Chinese government, tourist groups from the 10 ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines) with a minimum of two people can apply for a 6-day visa-free entry to Guilin.
Requirements for the 144-Hour Visa-Free Entry to Guilin
To enjoy this visa exemption, tourist groups must be organized and received by travel agencies accredited by Guilin's tourism authorities, and the entire group must enter and exit through the Guilin Liangjiang International Airport port. Additionally, the group's stay within the administrative region of Guilin must not exceed 144 hours, and they must enter and exit together.
