How many days will it take to apply Chinese Visa in Vietnam?

Hello - can you help us? we are a family of 4 but don't have long in Vietnam. We would like to get our Chinese Visa when in Ho Chi Minh City on or around 7th August, before travelling up by train to Hue. How much is the express visa, how long does it take (I think 2 days?) and can we apply for this when we arrive in Ho Chi Minh? I have tried calling and emailing the embassy but they do not answer. We'd appreciate your help! Louise
