Dear Mr. Mohammed Morsi,
Greetings from Sophie, Top China Travel!
Thanks a lot for your enquiry.
Well noted that you will one full day free in Shanghai and would like to know what to see.
Actually, it depends on your personal interests. Please be suggested as below,

If this is your first time to Shanghai, I do suggest you visit some highlights in Shanghai, such as Jade Buddha Temple, Yuyuan Garden, Chenghuangmiao ( The Old Street), The Oriental Pearl TV Tower and if you have at least one night in Shanghai, you could try the night Huangpu River Cruise or watch an Acrobatic Show. See more attraction information, please click: /shanghai/shanghai-attractions.htm
2. If you have been to Shanghai for many times, but want to see some history and culture thing of Shanghai and know more about local residences. Then I suggest you do it as below,
1) You could go a route like: Boarding-Walking Tour on the Bund-Old Residential Long Tang –Old French Concession-Old Streets-Xintiandi –Shanghai flavored lunch-House of 1st President of Democratic China-Little White House-Pass By Nanking Grand Theatre-People’s Square-Old Race Course-Pearl City-Back to Hotel
2) You also could go outside Shanghai, but visit the water towns surrounding Shanghai, such as Xitang , Zhujiajiao ,Tongli, Wuzhen ect. But please avoid weekend as it is crowded at water town at that time.
3. If you a person who chase a food & Shopping tour in Shanghai, it is easy and leisure. You could explore surrounding Chenghuangmiao (The Old Street) to try local snacks. The famous one is Shanghai Xiao Long Bao (small steamed stuffed bun). It tastes juicy and delicious, so it is quite different from the steamed bun in other cities. When you explore the old street, you will find some people in a queue in front of a shop, which is the most famous Xiao Long Bao shop. Just stop and have a try. Then explore to West Nanjing Road and East Nanjing Road as well as Huaihai Road for shopping around. All the above spots are in the city center and it is easy to find. In this case, you could explore on your own.
