Thanks for your above question. Well noted that you last stop is Hangzhou and want to know how to extend your Hangzhou trip.

At first, please be advised how to plan a Hangzhou tour. Generally speaking, one full day hangzhou tour is enough for you to see the highlights there, such as West Lake (with boat trip or rent a bicycle to ride around the lake, enjoying the good view), Lingyin Temple, Six Harmony Pagoda or Chenghuang Pagoda. If you are interested in tea or if you travel in spring, you can choose to visit Meijiawu Tea Plantation. This is day trip in Hangzhou.

Of course, if you have more time in Hangzhou, you may need to extend your Hangzhou trip.

See something different --- One day tour to nearby Water Town
Wuzhen Water Town is located at Tongxiang of Zhenjiang Province. It is about 60 km from Hangzhou. Therefore, it is suitable to arrange a day tour to Wuzhen from Hangzhou, then back to Hangzhou for overnight. Wuzhen Water Town is listed in Top 10 Most Charming Town in China, with over 7,000 years of civilization history and is built for about 1,300 years. It is a typical water town in East China. It is worth a visit for those tourists who visit China for the 1st time.

Nanxun Ancient Town is located in Huzhou City, Nanxun District, at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. It was a famous town of East China for its silk in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Nanxun Water Town has a long history, with rivers through the town. As there are many rich people resided in Nanxun since ancient times, the buildings in Nanxun Water Town are almost fine manors of. And because of the Western style once prevailed,  Nanxun is also the only ancient town in China with Chinese and Western style buildings, noble and elegant .

See more natural sightseeing --- Day trip to visit Xixi National Wetland Park
Xixi National Wetland Park is about 5 km away from the West Lake, a farmland wetland in the urban area which is rare in China even in the world. Xixi Wetland is a network of rivers, Together with the West Lake and Xiling. You can choose to visit the park by a local sculling boat, by bicycle or on foot with different visit routes.

Culture experience day trip on Hangzhou
Visit Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum to experience the pottery culture in China.  With the tasteful display, substantial content and comfortable environment, it is the first unique museum themed on ceramics in China. Move to Canal Area and visit workmanship and demonstrations pavilion. Here you have a chance to use your imagination to draw a picture on an oiled paper umbrella. In the Pavilion you have chance to see other traditional craftspeople working on their creations, such as making fans, umbrellas, teapots, scissors ect.

Visit the traditional Chinese garden and water town in Suzhou
It takes about 1.5 hours by high speed train from Hangzhou to Suzhou, where you could have one night overnight, then enjoy the traditional Chinese gardens there as well Tongli Water Town. Then back to Hangzhou for departure.

Visit to Shanghai if you have not yet visit Shanghai before Hangzhou
It takes about 1 hour by high speed train from Hangzhou to Shanghai, which is the largest and modernest city in China. You can also choose to visit Shanghai to know the modern aspect of China and go shopping around Shanghai. You can also choose to have one night stay in Shanghai, then back to Hangzhou to catch your departure flight.

A landscape trip from Hangzhou to Mt. Huangshan
Mt. Huangshan is not far from Hangzhou and the transportation is convenient now. A 3-hour high speed train in the morning can bring you from Hangzhou to Mt. Huangshan. In the afternoon, you can visit Chengkan Ancient Village and Tuanxi on the 1st day. Then climb up to the top of Mt. Huangshan on the 2nd day to enjoy the unparalelled natural view there. If you like hiking, you can choose to trek around on the top of the mountain. Shoot the sunset at the top and stay overnight on the top. In the 3rd day morning, you still have almost half day to explore Yellow mountain and shoot the sunrise of Mt. Huangshan. Then get down and take the high speed train at 13:00 back to Hangzhou for your departure.
