I am traveling from Chengdu to Chongqing by bullet train, so that I can enjoy my Yangtze River Cruise which departs from there. But how can I get to the Chongqing Chaotianmen Dock/Pier after I get off the bullet train? By the way, the train will arrive at Chongqing North Train Station, am I right?

The bullet trains from Chengdu to Chongqing will depart either from Chengdu Train Station or Chengdu East Train Station, which will depends on which train you take. And they will all arrive at Chongqing North Train Station.

Chongqing Chaotianmen Dock/Pier is situated at the junction of the Yangtze River and Jialing River of the northeast of the Chongqing city. And it is near to Chongqing main city centre and the most prosperous CBD central business district of Chongqing. Normally, downstream Yangtze River Cruise from Chongqing to Yichang departs from this dock, so it is the starting point of downstream Yangtze River Cruise.

Chongqing Chaotianmen Dock/Pier is about 15 kilometers away from Chongqing North Train Station. There are a few ways to get to the dock from Chongqing North Train Station. 

►Option 1 By Car Rental

►Option 2 By Taxi
Taking taxis can save you much more time for your tour and be most convenient for your travel. You can hip on a taxi when you get out the train station. It will cost you about RMB 20 and about 20 minutes to get to the dock (with traffic jam).

►Option 3 By Public Bus
There is a Longtousi Bus Terminal near to Chongqing North Train Station. Here you can take Bus No.10 and get off at Suodao Stop in Xinhua Road. Then you need to walk for 5oo meters to reach Chaotianmen Dock/Pier. The whole time duration takes about 35 minutes.

►Option 4 By Light Rail Transit + Subway
You can take Light Rail Transit No.3 near Chongqing North Train Station and get off at Liang Lu Kou. Then transfer to Metro Line No.1 to take you to Xiaoshizi. After get out of the subway station, you still need to walk for 10 minutes to reach the dock. The whole trip will take about 45 minutes and the cost is about RMB 7.
