Actually, more and more foreigners come to China as English teacher or exchange students nowadays. Therefore, it is possible for your to come to China to teach English also.
Before you come to China, it is better for you to contact with some schools or education organizations who need English teachers. If any of them would like to hire you, then it will be easy for you to apply for working visa to China. I think it might need the invitation letter from the working place. You can also consult with China embassy about the working visa first.
