Haba Snow Mountain is located 20 kilometers southeast of Shangri-la.

How to get to Haba Snow Mountain:
From Lijiang, you may take coach from Lijiang Bus Station to Haba Village directly. There is only one bus traveling every day. It departs at 9:00 am and takes about 5 hours. Or you can take bus from Lijiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge Town frist(taking 2 hours), then rent a local van to take you to Haba Village. And start your trip to Haba Snow Mountain.
From Shangri-la, you may take coach from Shangri-la Bus Station to Haba Village directly. There is only one bus traveling every day. It departs at 1:50 am and takes about 3 to 4 hours.

Best time to climb Haba Snow Mountain:
The highest peak is 5396 meters high. The upper part of the mountain is more gentle, the lower part rises steeply. The best climbing season is from November to February in the following year. Affected by the monsoon, January and February has the larger wind, often gale wind. In November and December, the wind is small, is the best season to climb the snow mountain.
