From 00:00 of May 7, 2024 to December 31, 2025, holders of ordinary passports from 12 countries including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria and Luxembourg who come to China for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes for a period not exceeding 15 days from the date of their entry will be exempted from Chinese visa to enter into China. Those who do not meet the above mentioned travel purposes and time limit for visa exemption or holding other passports or travel documents still need to apply for Chinese visa before entering into China.

Submit Your Visa Application

When you arrive in the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Brussels, you should show your passport, via application form and other documents. Then, your passport will be scanned and you will be given a queue number. After that, you can submit your Chinese visa application at the counter. If your visa application is accepted, you will be given a payment-due slip. While getting the payment-due slip, please CAREFULLY CHECK your information on the slip. Pay and Collect

After submitting your visa application, you should pay the visa fee(collected on behalf of the Chinese Embassy/Consulate-General), service fee(charged by the Visa Center) and postal service fee. After payment, you will get the pick-up form and payment receipt. Please well keep your pick-up form since it must be shown when collecting your passport. As soon as you receive the passport, please carefully CHECK the particulars on your visa, such as your name, birth date, passport number, validity, number of entries, and duration of stay. Let the Visa Centre staff know immediately if there is any problem.

 

Should I go to the Visa Center in person?

Belgian citizens can submit the application in person or authorize a third party to do so. However, please be aware of that you should be physically in Belgium when your application is being submitted, or your visa application will not be accepted.
 

How far in advance should I submit my application?

You should make your application well in advance of the planned travel date. You are advised to apply ONE month in advance but no earlier than THREE months.

Visa processing time varies with location. And you should be aware that actual processing time may be longer than that posted on the website in certain circumstances. If there is such a delay, you will be notified by the Visa Centre staff.
