How to Visit China Without Visa from Austria

From 00:00 on May 7, 2024 to 24:00 on December 31, 2025 (Beijing time), citizens of Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa through the ports of entry open to foreigners provided that they come to China for tourism, family visit, business or transit, and intend to stay in China for no more than 15 days. Austrian citizens who do not meet the above mentioned reasons and time limit for visa exemption or holding service (official) passports still need to apply for Chinese visa before entering into China.

 

Do I need a Chinese visa to enter China?

Austrian citizens holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa through the ports of entry open to foreigners provided that they come to China for tourism, family visit, business or transit, and intend to stay in China for no more than 15 days. If you come to China for tourism, family visit or business and intend to stay in China for more than 15 days, you should apply for the Chinese visa in advance in your country. And if you come to China for reasons not applicable to the reasons of the 15-day visa free policy, you should apply for the Chinese visa.

How to Apply Chinese Visa in Austria

Prepare Documents

Passport: Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application, with at least 2 blank visa pages, 1 copy of passport photo data page.

Submit Your Application to the Visa Center
