How to Visit China Without Visa from France

From December 1, 2023 at 00:00 to November 30, 2024 at 24:00 (Beijing time), holders of valid ordinary passports from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia travelling to China for the purposes of trade, tourism, family visit and transit are exempt from visa requirements for a maximum period of 15 days.
 

Holders of ordinary passports from the 6 above-mentioned countries travelling to China for any other reason or for a stay exceeding 15 days, as well as holders of service passports from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, must always apply for a visa before travelling to China.
 

China adds 6 European countries that eligible for the 15-day visa free policy. From March 14, 2024, China implements visa free entry policy for 6 European countries including Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. From March 14, 2024 to November 30, 2024, holders of ordinary passports from the above 6 countries who come to China for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends and transit for less than 15 days can enter China without visas. Therefore, there are 11 European countries are eligible for the 15-day visa free policy to enter China, which is convenient for the European citizens who plan a trip to China less than 15 days.

2. Submit your Chinese Visa Application at the CVASC

Show your passport, Chinese Visa Application form and other supporting documents

Submit your passport for scanning, and you will be given a queue number.

Submit your Visa Application Form and additional documents needed, and you will be given a Payment-due slip.

Finish the payment and you will be given your Pickup Form and a payment receipt.

 

Should I submit my Chinese Visa application in person at the Visa Application Center?

According to the requirements of the Chinese Embassy and Consulate General, all applicants aged between 14 and 70 inclusive need to come to the Visa Center in person to submit their application and their fingerprints will be collected.

 

How far in advance should I submit my application?

It is advisable that you apply for your visa approximately one month prior to your intended date of entry into China, but no earlier than three months. If you apply for a visa too early, the visa might expire before your arrival in mainland China.
