Travel from Dunhuang to Zhangye by Flights

Though both Dunhuang and Zhangye have airport, which are Dunhuang Airport and Zhangye Airport respectively, at present, there are not directly flights between these two cities. The trains between Dunhuang to Zhangye are not many but much more efficient compared to the transferred flights. There are three K type fast trains and two Y type tour trains covering this journey daily. The durations are normally 7hours and 10 minutes with a ticket fare range from 81 yuan for a seat to 231 yuan for a comfortable bed. Travel from Dunhuang to Zhangye by Bus

The distance between Dunhuang and Zhangye is 630km and it will take around 6 hours to get to Zhangye by bus. There is only one bus covering this journey daily and it departs at 17:00 every day with a ticket fare of 173 yuan. The Dunhuang Bus Station, Chinese name 敦煌汽车站(Chinese address:敦煌市沙洲镇三危路东大桥（建荣市场附近）)，is just in Dunhuang downtown and you could take a taxi to get there it for 5 yuan.
